At Shopiome, we strive to ensure smooth and transparent transactions between buyers and sellers.
However, in case of disagreements or complaints, our Dispute Resolution Policy ensures fair and timely handling of issues under the Buyer Protection Policy.
Reporting a Dispute
- Buyers or sellers can raise a dispute by contacting Shopiome Support via the Help section or by email within 7 days of delivery (or expected delivery date, if not received).
- Disputes may include issues such as:
- Product not received or delayed.
- Product not as described or defective.
- Payment discrepancies.
- Violation of Shopiome’s policies or suspected fraudulent activity.
Review & Mediation
- Once a dispute is raised, Shopiome’s support team will review all relevant order details, chats, images, and evidence provided by both parties.
- The platform acts as a neutral mediator between buyer and seller to arrive at a fair conclusion.
- Both parties are required to cooperate and provide accurate information during the investigation.
Resolution Timelines
- Most disputes are resolved within 7–10 business days of being raised.
- If additional information or verification is required, the resolution period may be extended with prior notification to both parties.
Refunds & Adjustments
- If the buyer’s claim is found valid, a refund will be processed as per the Payments & Refund Policy.
- If the seller provides sufficient proof that the product was correctly delivered and matched the description, the payout will proceed as usual.
Escalation
- If either party is not satisfied with the internal resolution, they may escalate the issue to Shopiome’s Grievance Officer.
- The Grievance Officer’s contact details will be published on the Contact & Legal Information page, in compliance with the IT Act 2000 and Consumer Protection (E-commerce) Rules, 2020.
- Shopiome ensures that every escalation is reviewed and closed within 30 days.
