Seller Policy

Welcome to the Shopiome Seller Policy. This policy governs how sellers list, sell, fulfill orders, and receive settlements through the Shopiome marketplace.

By registering as a seller on Shopiome, you agree to comply with this Seller Policy, the Terms & Conditions, and all applicable laws.

1. Eligibility Requirements

To sell on Shopiome, sellers must provide:

Valid Business/Individual ID

Valid business or individual identification details

GST Registration

GST registration number (if applicable under Indian law)

Active Bank Account

Active bank account details for settlement purposes

Verified Contact

Verified mobile number and email address

Shopiome reserves the right to verify seller information and may suspend or reject seller accounts that fail verification.

2. Listing Standards

Product Authenticity

  • All products or services must be genuine and legally sourced
  • Compliant with applicable Indian laws

Accurate Descriptions

  • Product descriptions, specifications, and images must accurately represent the item being sold

Prohibited Items

  • Misleading pricing, false claims, counterfeit items, or prohibited products are strictly prohibited
Platform Right: Shopiome reserves the right to review, approve, modify, suspend, or remove listings that do not meet compliance, safety, or quality standards.

3. Order Fulfillment Responsibilities

Sellers are responsible for timely processing, packaging, and delivery of orders.

Sellers must ensure that products delivered match the description and condition displayed on the platform.

Sellers must respond to order-related or refund queries within the timeframe specified by Shopiome.

Important: Failure to fulfill orders responsibly may impact seller trust scores, visibility, or account status.

4. Payment Collection & Settlement

All payments for orders placed on Shopiome are collected by Shopiome through authorized third-party payment providers. Shopiome shall hold collected funds on behalf of sellers until completion of the order and closure of the applicable refund window.

Settlement Cycle

Settlement to sellers will be processed on a 15-day or monthly cycle, as applicable

Deductions

  • Platform commission
  • Payment processing charges
  • Applicable taxes (including GST, if applicable)
  • Approved refunds
  • Chargebacks or payment reversals
  • Penalties (if any)

Timeline

Settlement timelines may vary depending on order status, delivery confirmation, and refund window completion.

5. Refunds & Chargebacks

  • Sellers acknowledge that refund decisions are processed by Shopiome in accordance with the Refund Policy.
  • Approved refunds shall be adjusted against the seller's current or future payouts.
  • In the event of chargebacks, payment reversals, fraud disputes, or regulatory claims, Shopiome reserves the right to recover such amounts from seller settlements.
Shopiome may temporarily hold payouts in cases of excessive return rates, policy violations, suspicious activity, or financial risk concerns.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Sellers shall not:

Encourage buyers to complete transactions outside the Shopiome platform

Share personal contact details to bypass platform commission

Manipulate pricing or misuse promotional features

Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or unfair trade practices

Consequence: Violation may result in temporary suspension, permanent deactivation, or legal action.

7. Account Suspension & Termination

Shopiome reserves the right to suspend or terminate seller accounts in cases of:

  • Repeated customer complaints
  • High refund or chargeback ratios
  • Non-compliance with listing standards
  • Violation of applicable laws
  • Attempts to bypass platform payment systems
Outstanding dues or recoverable amounts, if any, may be adjusted before account closure.
