At Shopiome, we ensure secure, transparent, and compliant payment processing for all transactions conducted on our platform.

All payments on Shopiome are processed through RBI-compliant and PCI-DSS certified payment gateway partners.

2. Payment Collection & Settlement Model

Buyer Payment

Buyers make payment directly to Shopiome at the time of placing an order. Shopiome collects payment as the authorized marketplace facilitator.

Seller Payouts

Processed on a periodic basis (bi-weekly or monthly), after:

  • Delivery confirmation
  • Completion of the applicable return window
  • Adjustment of returns, refunds, chargebacks, or disputes

Applicable Deductions

  • Commission fees
  • Payment gateway charges
  • Taxes (if applicable)
  • Logistics or promotional charges (if applicable)
Note: Shopiome reserves the right to temporarily hold seller payouts in case of ongoing disputes, fraud checks, or chargeback risk.

3. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be initiated in the following cases:

Cancellations

  • Order cancelled before dispatch

Delivery Issues

  • Product not delivered within reasonable timelines

Product Issues

  • Product received damaged, defective, or materially different from description

Payment Issues

  • Duplicate or excess payment detected

Refund approval is subject to verification and may require photo/video evidence.

4. Refund Process & Timeline

Approval

Once a return or cancellation request is approved, refunds are initiated within 5–10 business days.

Credit Method

Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for the transaction.

Processing Time

Actual credit time may vary depending on the bank or payment provider.

Note: If a transaction fails but the amount is debited, it is typically reversed automatically within 3–7 business days by the payment partner.

5. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

In the event of:

  • Bank chargebacks
  • Payment disputes
  • Fraud investigation

Shopiome reserves the right to:

  • Temporarily reverse seller payouts
  • Recover disputed amounts from future settlements
  • Request additional documentation from sellers

6. Non-Refundable Situations

Product damaged due to buyer misuse or negligence

Digital products or services that have already been accessed or downloaded

Personalized or made-to-order products (unless defective)

Claims raised beyond the specified return window

7. Platform Role

Shopiome operates as a marketplace platform facilitating transactions between buyers and sellers. While Shopiome processes payments and coordinates dispute resolution, product fulfillment responsibilities rest with the respective sellers.
